Letter from the President of Arden Software North America

Dear Impact Customer:

There is news and we would like you to be the first to know.

Arden Software, creator of Impact CAD/CAM, has purchased the assets of Genline Systems, Inc. and has created Arden Software North America. This will not only better serve our existing customers but will grow the North American market, offering more services and solutions to the most important packaging market in the world. Arden Software, based in the United Kingdom, is the second largest provider of structural design software in the world with over 6500 seats installed. Arden has typically worked through distribution channels in other parts of the world and in the United States. The relationship between Arden Software and Genline Systems has been a long and mutually rewarding relationship for over 20 years. We plan on building on all the strengths that Genline Systems has worked so hard to develop over the years. Mike and Duane are and will be here to continue to bring their dedication. We will be adding more staff in both sales and support in the near future.

A few points that we want to be clear on and to let you know what some of our plans are:
 

• Our commitment to the customer, listening and responding with solutions that make sense, is our #1 priority.
   

• With the release of Impact 5 we feel that we offer the best Structural Design/Die Making Software Solution in the world. We are here to prove it!
   

• Expanding into this market directly we are better able to directly support our customer base here and to bring products to market faster. As the developers of Impact, we want direct input from you, our users and to make sure that we are the leaders in both solutions and support in this market.
   

How are we going to achieve this?

• Investment in additional personnel and infrastructure to better serve and support you, the Impact user.
   

• Having a direct presence in North America we are better able to respond and penetrate this valuable and demanding market.
   

• Investments in infrastructure and personnel will insure that we maintain and expand our customer base. Every Arden employee will be connected directly via phone, network with unified messaging both here and in the United Kingdom so that we will be more effective in our support and sales activities.
   

• We now have the resources to be much more visible: attending tradeshows, sponsoring industry events and associations and sponsoring and hosting events focusing on you, our customers.

We have opened new corporate offices in Park City Utah, with support also based in Georgia. We will be partnering with Gerber Innovations, formerly Data Technology, at the upcoming SuperCorr Expo in Atlanta in September. Mike will be taking an active role with the IADD and in the Folding Carton markets and Duane will continue to show his commitment to customer service through support and training.

My name is Jim Silianoff and I am the new President of Arden Software North America. I come with extensive experience in this field. I was the founder and president of Dimensional Impressions, the creators of Score! CAD, for more than 15 years and I am very excited to be in this new position with Arden. The packaging, display and die-making industries and developing and deploying software solutions are my first loves, professionally. I am a big believer in training and support. The better equipped you are to use Impact, the more valuable you are to your company. So our emphasis will be making sure that we respond with both the tools and support to make sure that you can exceed your customers’ expectations.
