FOAM CUTTING: Cutting of foam has become increasingly important in the packaging industry.  Responding to this demand, ZÜND has developed machine and tool options capable of cutting foam and other soft materials up to a thickness of 50mm or approx. 2”.  Because of the modularity of all ZÜND systems and components, machines equipped with this option can also handle samplemaking and other cutting tasks

EJECTION RUBBER :  Bevel cut with oscillating tool for cutting of ejection rubber for dieboards.  Bevel cut with angle from 0-15 degrees, less production steps,  immediate processing, no drying, produces a good fit and repeatability.

The tool setup process now requires only three simple steps:
1: Insert tool
2: Position AKI-2
3: Start initialization

AKI-2 can be used for any tool (1-9), and makes tool setup automatic, fast and reliable, at the same time eliminating potential for errors inherent in manual tool setup.

As tool are initialized, TOOL MANAGER automatically saves the parameters for each one. These parameters can then be recalled from the keyboard whenever needed. TOOL MANAGER makes managing the complete range of Zünd tools very quick and easy, thereby significant enhancing productivity. This is particularly true in applications that require a lot of different types of cutting and frequent tool changes.

The FC4200 Series is the ideal table/bench-top cutting plotter for high-precision and medium-heavy material crafting jobs and is suitable for cutting and creasing intricate designs on folding carton paperboard, vinyl, photo-masking films, foam material, oil board, and sandblast resist rubber. The FC4200 has a standard registration mark detection sensor, enabling quick and easy realignment of separately imaged material for die cutting.

With four available head configurations and a selection of five tool types, the FC3600 handles a wide range of materials.
