It is recommended that all users of Impact
attend this course whether employed as a designer or
diemaker. This course covers the basic use of the software
including the Impact database; drawing and editing; text and
dimensioning; standards libraries; file import/export. Users
are given numerous hands-on exercises aimed at teaching the
necessary design tools.
On completion, a delegate will leave the
course confident of being able to use the software in a
competent and productive manner.

Designer Lite course, with the fourth day focusing on the
tools and commands included in the Impact Designer bundle.
This course covers the fundamental use of features including
the Standards & Parametrics, Design Components, Layout
creation; 3D and Graphics, Raster to Vector and more.
Users are given hands-on exercises aimed at teaching the
necessary design tools.
On completion, a delegate will leave the
course confident of being able to use the software in a
competent and productive manner.

Covers the advanced use and
configuration of Impact's flatbed and rotary die making
tools. Topics include palette set-up; configuration of
Master Template and Master Tool Settings; symbols and symbol
pattern generation; customizing the diemaking tools for your
operation. It is recommended that the delegate bring press
specifications and other relevant material to training.

company IT personnel who have no working knowledge of
Impact. The course deals with advanced systems
administration topics including the configuration of the
Impact database for border plots and the customization of
database fields and tables etc. Also covered are weekly
maintenance tasks, networks, folder structures, Impact
connection manager, user groups and user privileges.

Impact enables you to capture designer
knowledge by creating reusable designs as part of a library
of standards. It allows you to create designs once and then
reuse them any number of times by simply entering
appropriate measurements.
This course teaches you how to create
designs based on your specifications, integrate materials,
build intelligent interfaces and much more. The course will
offer hands on exercises building standards and design
components from scratch, but delegates are encouraged to
bring their own designs.

to customize Impact to be more effective and productive. The
topics include adding fields to the database, customizing
the database windows and interface, border plot creation,
creating and using database queries and reports, value
mappings and an introduction into scripting.

Teaches delegates how to
automate Impact through the use of scripting. The advanced
nature of the course content means that delegates should
ideally have some previous programming experience. Topics
covered include access to databases, interaction with third
party applications, analysis of the geometry in existing
designs etc. Scripts can be written to create custom
designs, automate operations, read and write database
information and much, much more. Please contact the Genline
Technical Services Department for further information about
delegate suitability. It is recommended to bring programming
projects related to your needs to class for discussion

This combination class offers
a subset of information from two other courses that are
offered; Impact Automation with
Scripting and Standards &
Parametrics.
This course gives a thorough
introduction to each of these topics, but does not provide
the detail that each individual course offers. This gives
users a chance to be exposed to each topic within the same
class and begin taking advantage of these powerful Impact
tools.

existing users of Impact 1.3 who are interested in migrating
to Impact version 4.1. The class covers
installation/migration issues as well as the new features
and enhancements of Impact V4.1 and how they differ from
it's predecessor.
